A nervous, tense, spooky and anixious horse is not a happy horse. While relaxed horse is more in sync with himself, happier, more supple, more focused, easier to work with, to train and handle, and at the end of the day less prone to injuries. We are not fans of calming pastes, powders or sedatives out of necessary veterinarian reasons, and frankly neither are our horses.
That’s why we wanted to develop a simple, fully transparent solution, that helps your horse in an all natural way. We founded Canter Equestrian for all horse lovers, who want to give their horses only the best, and for our horses, who mean the world to us.

Aromatherapy, scent-based therapy with positive effects, is used on humans worldwide for centuries. Humans have 350 smell receptors, while horses have over 1000. That makes a scent-based therapy 3 times more effective than in humans, where it already works wonders between young and old. Ingredients used in Zenroll were scientifically proven to have calming effects on horses, Zenroll is 100% natural, and safe to use. Compared to some classical calming products it does not have a drowsy effect on horses, which makes it perfect for any stressful situation.

Since Zenroll is a 100% natural product results may vary, as well as the amount needed for desired effect. We advise all first-time users to start with at least 3 rolls up and down the nose area and wait for signs of calming down: chewing, yawning, relaxed lips, and or blowing air. When you feel the effect is rubbing off, simply reapply as needed.

We advise all first-time users to introduce the Zenroll slowly and with positive reinforcement. You can first roll the product over your hand and let your horse sniff it, then apply it with your hand to his nose, let your horse sniff Zenroll and only then apply it directly. Take your time, from our experience all horses end up loving it!

Since Zenroll is a 100% natural product results may vary. Usually, the effect lasts up to an hour, but it can last longer or in some cases shorter. In any case, you can reapply the product as needed.

FEI and USEF do not publish separate rules for topical products, and no official documents classify lavender or other essential oils as prohibited when applied externally. Zenroll is a topical scent-based product, not a supplement or medication.

No official FEI or USEF rule bans lavender or any essential oil when used topically. Some blogs and forums speculate that calming herbs might fall under general rules, but this is not based on FEI or USEF official documentation.
